Let us tell you that there is a large amount of non-cultivable land in all the mauzas of Bihar. But this land has been occupied by some person or the other. The Bihar government has now amended the act regarding non-cultivable land and made it more stringent.
At the same time, according to the Bihar Special Survey and Settlement Act, such settlement of non-cultivated land which has not been done on the orders of the competent authority will also be cancelled. However, the government can settle this land for public welfare.
The state government has clearly told the survey personnel that if any person claims ownership of non-cultivated land on the basis of a receipt or lease issued by any unwanted authority, then do not accept it and mark that land.
