Mahasamund News: The Chhattisgarh government has started the Minimata Mahtari Jatan Yojana to provide assistance to pregnant women. Through this scheme, assistance is being provided to those pregnant women who work as laborers in building construction and construction work in the unorganized sector or whose husbands work as laborers. With this scheme, care of mother and child has now become easier in laborer families. The government provides assistance of Rs 20 thousand for institutional delivery of pregnant women.
Since the launch of Minimata Mahtari Jatan Yojana in Mahasamund district, 8846 beneficiaries have benefited from it. In which Mrs. Jagriti Sahu of Subhash Nagar, Mahasamund has been provided assistance of Rs 20 thousand. Jagriti told that she is a registered worker in Chhattisgarh Bhawan and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board. Praising the scheme, she said that the state government is continuously working to benefit economically weaker families. She told that the amount received is being used for the living and proper care of the child.
It is worth noting that to avail the benefits of Minimata Mahtari Jatan Yojana, it is mandatory for women workers to be registered under Chhattisgarh Bhawan and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board. To avail the benefits of the scheme, the beneficiary will have to apply online through Labor Department, Public Service Center or VLE within 90 days of the birth of the child with the worker registration certificate, ration card, Aadhaar card, successor's Aadhaar card, bank passbook, mobile number, child's birth certificate and original documents.
