Mathura: In protest against the kidnapping and murder of a businessman in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, the traders have announced to close the grain market indefinitely.
Businessman Yogendra Garg was missing since 9:30 pm on Thursday and his body was found in Shivtal on Friday evening. Traders suspect that the businessman was kidnapped and then murdered. Police have sent the body for postmortem so that the cause of death can be ascertained.
Rajkumar Agarwal Mantwal, senior vice president of Uttar Pradesh Udyog Vyapar Mandal, said that the businessman's scooter was found near Shivtal in Nanak Nagar. Probably he was kidnapped. A report has been filed with the police.
He said that in protest against this, the traders have announced to close the Agricultural Produce Market Committee indefinitely.
On the other hand, Inspector Kotwali Ravi Tyagi said that the body of the businessman was found in Shivtal this evening. It is being sent for postmortem and a case will be registered along with it.
