In a podcast on YouTube channel, Fite Muh with Sik and Jas, Shan Muttathil said that everyone in this industry is there to earn money. Everyone takes money according to their experience and talent. He questioned Anurag and said that after giving so many 'hit films', will he take the same fees as a new director?

On Anurag Kashyap's films, he said that his cinema is different. According to him, “Anurag Kashyap's films are set in villages, whose heroine wakes up and sleeps wearing a cotton sari costing Rs 250.” According to Shaan, there is no such scene in his films in which the actress comes running and her hair has to be shown in salvo shots.

According to Shaan, it is normal to feel jealous of such things because makeup artists and hairstylists get paid more than managers and first ADs. He also said that among the many artists in Mumbai, there are only a few artists whose fees run into lakhs of rupees.
