Car News Desk,Citroen is going to bring a new car in the Indian market, which will be named Basalt. This car will debut in India on August 2 and its price will be announced after a few days. Apart from Curve, Citroen Basalt will compete with Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and Kia Seltos. At the same time, the electric model of the company Basalt will come in early 2025, which will compete with Curve EV. The length of Citroen Basalt SUV will be 4.3 meters. It will have more features than C3 Aircross. This car will come with features like automatic climate control, wireless charging, electric folding mirror, cruise control, keyless entry and push-button start.
Design of Citroen Basalt
The design parts of the Basalt SUV will be similar to the Citroen C3 Aircross. Such as a two-part grille, faux silver skid plate, chrome finished logo, LED DRL and bonnet. Its front grille will have a slightly different style than the C3 Aircross. Projector headlamps instead of halogen units, wheel arches with different cladding will also be seen in it. Apart from this, the car can get newly designed taillamps, new and larger LED signatures, pull-type door handles, dual tone bumper with black and silver finish.
Features of Citroen Basalt
This coupe style SUV can be offered with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, wireless Android Auto, Apple CarPlay connectivity, steering mount controls, connected car technology, USB chargers in the front and rear, anti-lock braking system with EBD, adjustable headrests, dual airbags, hill hold assist, tire pressure monitoring system and reverse parking sensors.
Engine of Citroen Basalt
Basalt can be given a 1.2 liter, 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine. The engine can be given the option of 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. This setup can generate 110bhp and 205Nm of torque.
