Junagadh Rain, Junagadh: Heavy rains continue to wreak havoc in Gujarat. Due to heavy rains in Junagadh since Friday morning, Damodar Kund has been flooded. Due to the rains, the Sonrakh river is also in spate, due to which the situation in Damodar Kund has become terrible and life in the surrounding areas has come to a standstill.
Heavy rain since morning
Let us tell you that it has been raining heavily in Junagadh since Friday morning, due to which life is disrupted due to waterlogging in the entire district. The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for rain till July 22 for the entire Saurashtra region. Due to monsoon, it has been raining intermittently in the entire state for several days, due to which the Sonrakh river is in spate. Due to heavy rains in the last 24 hours, the entire Damodar Kund has been submerged to dangerous levels. Due to this waterlogging, life has been badly affected due to floods in the entire area.

Flood like situation due to heavy rains
Apart from this, due to heavy rains, flood-like conditions have arisen in the Malia Hatin tehsil area of the district, due to which life has become disrupted. Water filled up to several feet near the five-foot high Shivling near the Siddheshwar Mahadev temple in Malia Hatin tehsil. Also, due to overflow in Bhakharwad dam, a warning has been issued in the lower villages. Many highways have been closed.
Due to heavy rain since morning, waterlogging and flood like situation has been created in the entire district. People are forced to stay inside their homes. Till 10 am on Friday, Vanthali of the district received five inches of rain, Junagadh city received three inches, Bhesan received two and a half inches, Mendarda received three inches, Keshod received five inches, Mangrol received one inch, Malia received two inches of rain.
