Television personality Ayesha Jahanzeb has rejected rumors of a marital reconciliation and confirmed her intention to pursue divorce proceedings.
Previously, Jahanzeb had visited a Lahore court with her attorney to provide a statement regarding allegations of domestic violence.
She described the ordeal as exceptionally harsh and emphasized that no woman should have to face such abuse. Despite expressing respect for community elders’ judgments, she indicated her desire to move forward from the case.
In a recent interview, Jahanzeb firmly denied any reconciliation with her husband, asserting, “I have not reconciled with my husband.”
She stated her intention to file for divorce on Monday and clarified that she intends to retain custody of their children, aiming to shield them from prolonged legal disputes.
It is noteworthy that Haris Ali, the accused, has been placed under judicial remand by the Lahore Cantt Kacheri court in connection with the domestic violence allegations.
Earlier, it was speculated that Ayesha has reconciled with her husband for the sake of her children.
