Lucknow. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken a big step for the Kanwad pilgrims in the month of Sawan. CM Yogi has now come on the front foot on the heated politics in UP on the order of the district administration to write the names of shopkeepers outside the shops on the Kanwad Yatra route.
Yogi said that the name and identity of the owner will have to be written on the food shops on the Kanwad routes across UP. This decision was taken to maintain the purity of the faith of the Kanwad pilgrims. CM Yogi said that action will also be taken against those selling products without Halal certification.
Let us tell you that the Muzaffarnagar police administration has issued an order that all the shop owners on the Kanwar Yatra route will have to put up a board with their full name written on it. Politics in UP intensified on this order. The opposition started cornering the government.
Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has said that BJP is the enemy of social harmony. It keeps finding some excuse to spoil the brotherhood of the society. The aim of BJP is to divide the society and harm the mutual harmony. Due to these divisive policies of BJP, the social environment of the state is getting polluted.
As per the rules, the court should take suo motu cognizance of this and take appropriate action by investigating the intentions of the administration and the government. The government's intention behind this is to divide the minority community from the society and bring them under suspicion. What will be known from the name of the person whose name is Guddu, Munna, Chhotu or Fateh? BJP does not hesitate at all in misusing power at every level.
BSP supremo Mayawati has also demanded immediate withdrawal of this order of the district administration. AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has also commented. He said that such an order is to promote untouchability. It seems that Muslims are being made untouchable.
He said, 'The way the Uttar Pradesh government has asked shopkeepers on the Kanwar Yatra route to reveal their names is wrong. We condemn it. This is promoting the evil of untouchability. This is a violation of the Constitution. This is a violation of the right to livelihood.
