Mumbai, July 19 (IANS) Many Bollywood beauties including Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit like to wear costumes designed by famous designer Neeta Lulla. Recently, Neeta has launched her latest concept saree collection named 'Lahar' and told why this nine-yard saree is special for her.
Talking about her new collection, Lulla said, “Saree has always held a special place in my heart. Its beauty and style is unmatched.”
The designer said, “With Lehar, I wanted to add a youthful and modern sensibility to it. The new 'Lehar' collection is exactly that and is the perfect outfit for the modern woman.”
According to the statement, the NISSHK collection by the House of Neeta Lulla is described as a love letter to the sari, reimagined for the modern woman.
The colour palette is designed for a variety of occasions, from weddings and sangeet ceremonies to colourful haldi ceremonies and lavish parties. The collection includes saris and bustiers with ruffles. Notable new features include mobile pockets, belts and gold buckles.
In March, Lulla celebrated 40 years in the industry and while speaking to IANS, he revealed that his journey was not easy. He had to struggle a lot.
Lulla said, “Apart from being a fashion designer, I am also a costume designer, a housewife and a mother. It is a tough task to play all these roles and transition seamlessly from one role to another.”
Lulla has appeared in over 300 films and has been designing wedding dresses since 1985.
He does not have any godfather in Bollywood, on the basis of his hard work and dedication he created his own identity in the industry.
