Computers and laptops of many companies in Central America, India and Australia were shut down automatically. At 12 noon several employees complained that their laptops and computers shut down automatically. Due to which the operations of banks, stock exchanges, airlines have been affected. Passengers are unable to check-in or check-out. Supermarkets, banking operations, stock markets have been badly affected due to window malfunctions. Three airlines in the US have grounded all their planes. Airline services in India have also been disrupted.
The Microsoft outage has not only affected airlines and banking services, but also brought work to a standstill in several major media organizations. 911 emergency services have been disrupted in many US states. People have shared pictures of windows crashing on social media platform X.
The servers of three airline companies providing air travel services in India have experienced major technical glitches. Indigo, Akasa Air and SpiceJet airlines have faced problems with web check-in at many airports around the world. Because of this, passengers are facing difficulties at many airports in the country including Mumbai, Bangalore and Delhi. Akasa Air has told passengers that they are facilitating manual check-in and boarding at the airport.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, ABC News is unable to run the 24 channel news package due to a fault in Microsoft software. The crisis has also affected Woolworths supermarkets, where the checkout system has crashed. Many customers have complained that their card is not working. The police system has also started working.

Outage detection platform Down Detector also confirmed worldwide outages. Microsoft 365 received more than 900 reports of flaws.
