“Stock Market Hits Record High, Sensex and Nifty Fall”: There seems to be pressure in the domestic stock market during the early trade today. Today's trade started with setting a new record of All Time High.
But soon after the market opened, profit booking started and both the stock market indices fell. However, buyers kept trying to build up buying pressure.
Despite this, the selling pressure was so high that the market situation could not improve. After the first hour of trading, the Sensex was trading down by 0.31 percent and the Nifty was down by 0.48 percent.
After the initial hour of trading, among the major stocks of the stock market, Infosys, Britannia, ITCLT Mindtree and Asian Paints were trading with gains ranging between 3.10 per cent and 0.74 per cent.
On the other hand, shares of BPCL, Tata Steel, Hindalco Industries, ONGC and Eicher Motors were seen trading with weakness ranging from 2.95 per cent to 2.01 per cent.
Till now, there was active trading in 2,226 shares in the stock market. Out of these, 400 shares were trading in the green zone after making profit, while 1,826 shares were trading in the red zone after suffering loss.
Similarly, out of the 30 stocks included in the Sensex, 7 stocks remained in the green zone with the support of buying. On the other hand, 23 stocks were trading in the red zone due to the pressure of selling. Whereas, out of the 50 stocks included in the Nifty, 11 stocks were seen trading in the green zone and 39 stocks in the red zone.
The BSE Sensex today opened at 81,585.06 points, jumping 241.60 points and setting a new record of strength. As soon as the trading started, with the support of buying, it succeeded in reaching the highest level of 81,587.76 points till now.
But soon after this, profit booking started in the market, due to which this index fell. Due to continuous selling pressure, this index fell more than 500 points from the upper level and reached the level of 81,076.32 points in the red mark.
After the first hour of trading amid continuous buying and selling in the market, at 10:15 am, the Sensex was trading at 81,092.90 points, down by 250.56 points.
Like the Sensex, the NSE Nifty also started trading at 24,853.80 points today, setting a new record of strength with a gain of 52.95 points. As soon as the market opened, this index rose further and reached its highest level till date of 24,854.80 points.
But after this, the selling pressure increased in the market, due to which this index fell. Due to the continuous selling, in a short time this index lost all its gains and reached 24,678.40 points in the red mark.
After the initial 1 hour of trading amid continuous buying and selling in the market, at 10:15 am, Nifty was trading at 24,682.95 points, down by 117.90 points.
Earlier, on the last trading day on Thursday, the Sensex closed at 81,343.46 points with a gain of 626.91 points i.e. 0.78 percent.
Nifty had ended Thursday's trading at 24,800.85 points with a gain of 187.85 points i.e. 0.76 percent.
