NEET Paper Leak: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday arrested Rakesh Ranjan alias Rocky, the mastermind in the Bihar NEET-UG paper leak case, from Patna. The accused was produced in court by the CBI, after which the court sent Rocky to CBI custody for 10 days.
The CBI raided four locations linked to Rakesh Ranjan alias Rocky, including in Patna, around Patna and Kolkata. According to sources, documents related to the NEET paper were also seized during the searches.
CBI used advanced technology to catch Rocky
The Central Bureau of Investigation used advanced technology to arrest Rakesh Ranjan alias Rocky. The investigating agency first traced the IP address and email address and after confirmation, raided his address. After the arrest, the accused was produced in the court by the CBI, after which the court sent the accused to CBI custody for 10 days.
The CBI has arrested Rakesh Ranjan's associate, Rocky, from Nalanda (Bihar) in connection with the NEET Paper case.
Rocky appeared before the CBI's competent court in Patna and has been remanded to CBI custody for 10 days.

What is the allegation on NEET paper leak mastermind Rocky?
According to reports, Rakesh Ranjan alias Rocky had arranged for MBBS students from Ranchi and Patna to solve the NEET paper. Rocky is also the nephew of Sanjeev Mukhiya, accused in the NEET paper leak case, and he runs a hotel in Ranchi.
CBI made its first arrest from Patna
On June 27, the CBI made the first arrest in the NEET-UG paper leak case. At that time, the agency arrested two accused named Manish Prakash and Ashutosh Kumar from Patna. Allegedly, Ashutosh is accused of booking open schools for the candidates, where they were made to memorize the answers of the NEET paper question paper. The CBI has so far arrested a total of 11 people in the paper leak case.
Important hearing in the paper leak case in the Supreme Court on July 18
An important hearing was to be held in the Supreme Court on Thursday, July 11 in the NEET paper leak case. But a three-judge bench headed by the Chief Justice postponed it till July 18. Rocky's arrest is expected to lead to new revelations in the case.
