Paddy is the main Kharif crop. It is cultivated in many states of the country. But many states are encouraging farmers to grow crops in place of paddy as a way to avoid the excessive water consumption in paddy cultivation. This will reduce the water consumption. The Haryana government is giving subsidy to farmers who leave paddy cultivation and cultivate other crops. In such a situation, new varieties of paddy are being invented to reduce water consumption for paddy. Apart from this, advice is being given to cultivate with new techniques. In this connection, a technique was discovered in which farmers can cultivate paddy in one irrigation by using special fertilizer.
It requires more water than other crops
Paddy cultivation requires four irrigations in which a lot of water is wasted. This increases the cost of paddy. According to estimates, about 3000 liters of water is required to produce 1 kg of paddy. In this way, paddy cultivation requires the most water compared to other crops.
Which fertilizer will use less water for paddy
This is a fertilizer that is made from coconut. Coconut peels and husks are used in this fertilizer. This fertilizer can be easily made at home. By using coconut and husks, you can cultivate paddy with less water consumption. This will reduce your cost of paddy. Also, water will be saved which you will be able to use in growing other crops.
Coconut and dabha are first mixed together and left to rot. When it rots, it will act as a fertilizer. Now you have to sprinkle this rotten manure in your field. In this way, you can prepare cheap fertilizer at home for paddy cultivation at low cost.
The yield of rice is also good
The natural base made of coconut shells absorbs the irrigation water in the field, due to which the field remains moist for a long time. In such a situation, the farmer needs to do only one irrigation instead of four irrigations in the paddy crop, the work of the remaining three irrigations is done by this fertilizer. The use of this fertilizer saves water and money. The yield of paddy is also good.
Coconut Manure
If you use one kilogram of coconut manure in your paddy field, then one kilogram of manure can irrigate about 10 liters of water. In such a situation, farmers can use manure in their fields according to the size. Since the manure is prepared naturally, it does not have any adverse effect on the yield of crops. In this way, you can save both water and money by using coconut manure in paddy cultivation.
