Suzuki
Suzuki is at number five in the list of most two-wheelers exported to foreign markets. During June 2024, Suzuki exported 17,201 bikes, while the company had sent 17,678 bikes in the same month last year. Suzuki's exports registered a growth of 2.6 percent on an annual basis. At the same time, Suzuki's domestic scooter sales saw a growth of 16.6 percent on an annual basis, while the sales of its bikes declined.
YAMAHA
At the fourth spot is Yamaha, which exported 21,604 two-wheelers in June 2024 compared to exports of 12,818 units in June 2023, witnessing a growth of 68.5 per cent over the previous year. Yamaha's domestic two-wheeler sales witnessed a marginal decline, while its domestic scooter sales witnessed a growth of 13 per cent in June 2024 compared to June 2023.
Honda
Next comes Honda, which exported 36,202 units in June 2024 and witnessed a growth of 69.6 percent year-on-year. In comparison, Honda exported 21,337 units in June 2023. As far as domestic sales are concerned, Honda's scooter sales witnessed a growth of 90 percent year-on-year, while its motorcycle sales in India registered a growth of 33 percent in June 2024.
TVS
TVS is once again the second largest exporter of two-wheelers. In June 2024, the Hosur-based company exported 66,434 units as compared to 68,568 units exported in June 2023, witnessing a decline of 3 per cent year-on-year. In terms of domestic sales, TVS witnessed single-digit growth in its motorcycle sales and scooter business in June.
Bajaj
The leader in two-wheeler exports is Bajaj again, shipping 1,26,439 units in June 2024. Bajaj's two-wheeler exports have seen a marginal decline last month as compared to the exports of 1,27,357 units in June 2023. Domestic sales of Bajaj motorcycles have seen a marginal increase, however, sales are expected to pick up with the launch of the world's first CNG motorcycle. People in the country and around the world are liking Make in India products.
