Eight more former cadets of Maharaja Ranjit Singh AFPI SAS Nagar have been selected for the National Defence Academy (NDA) and other service training academies this month. Of these, Cadet Navjot Singh Gill has secured 11th rank in the all-India merit.

Congratulating these cadets on joining NDA to become commissioned officers in the Armed Forces, Mr. Aman Arora, Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training Minister, Punjab said that with the selection of these 8 cadets – Navjot Singh Gill, Vivan Sudan, Karanveer Singh Gill, Pratyush Singh Bedi, Mankaran Singh Dhillon, Anmol Banka, Pranav Thakur and Akkireddy Sai Vedansh, a total of 237 cadets of this institution have joined the training academies of various services since its inception.

He said that 160 former cadets of this institute have been commissioned as officers in the defence services. He said that the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is committed to fulfilling the dreams of the youth aspiring to join the defence services. He said that it is a matter of pride for the state that with a selection rate of 56.64%, this institute is the most successful institute of its kind in the country.

Director of Maharaja Ranjit Singh AFPI Major General Ajay H. Chauhan (Retd) inspired these cadets to become true soldiers of the country and said that they are the assets of our country. He informed that SSBs are going on for the courses in which cadets of this institute are being selected. It is mandatory for the cadets to undergo medical before getting the call letter.
