Bhopal. Monsoon activities have intensified in Tezzbuzz. So far, the state has received an average of 11.1 inches of rain, which is 30 percent of the total monsoon quota. Due to the activation of monsoon trough, cyclonic circulation and western disturbance, a strong system of thunderstorms and rain has been formed. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy rain in Tezzbuzz for the next four days. Today, Friday, there may be heavy rain in Rajgarh, Raisen, Harda, Betul and Balaghat.
The Meteorological Department said that the monsoon trough is passing through Guna. There is also the effect of Western Disturbance and Cyclonic Circulation. Low pressure area is active in the Bay of Bengal. It is likely to move further. Due to this, there will be heavy rain in many districts for the next few days. Earlier, heavy rain continued in the state on Thursday as well. There was heavy rain in Bhopal for about an hour. During this, 38 mm i.e. one and a half inches of water fell. Gwalior received the highest rainfall of 3 inches. 1.7 inches of water fell in Mandla. Heavy rain also occurred in Raisen, Chhindwara, Rewa, Sagar and Malajkhand of Balaghat district.
It is worth noting that monsoon arrived in Tezzbuzz on 21st June. Since then, heavy rains have been going on. However, there is still a drought like situation in the eastern part. There has been 18 percent less rain here while the western part has received 7 percent more rain. Overall, there has been 6 percent less rain so far. According to the Meteorological Department, the average rainfall should have been 11.8 inches till now. In comparison, only 11.1 inches of rain has occurred. Since there is an alert of heavy rain for the next 4 days, this figure will increase.
