Meerut. Akanksha (24), a B.Com student riding a scooty, died after being hit by an unknown vehicle on Meerut-Baraut Road in Rohta area of Meerut. After the accident, the accused driver fled from the spot with the vehicle. Praveen, a resident of Lahoregarh village, owns a mobile shop in Meerut. Praveen's daughter Akanksha, 24, has completed her B.Com final. She was now preparing for competitive exams. It is said that she was returning to the village from Meerut on her scooty late in the evening.
When she reached near Azampur village on Meerut-Baraut road, a speeding vehicle hit her scooter. In the accident, the student fell on the road and died due to serious head injuries. Police identified the student and informed her family. The family returned with the student's body. Police is investigating the accident.
