Cancer is a fatal disease. Many people come in contact with it. This disease is spreading rapidly all over the world today. Many people have lost their lives due to cancer. However, if it is detected early then the chances of survival are high, otherwise it causes a lot of trouble. Cancer, especially lung cancer, is more common due to smoking. There is a higher chance of it occurring due to drug abuse.
However, in many cases it has been seen that people who have never smoked cigarettes have been affected by lung cancer. Let us tell you why this happens?
How is lung cancer occurring
If we believe the old research, every year 45 thousand lung cancer patients are found in Britain. Whereas in America this number is 2 lakh 30 thousand and in Australia 12.5 thousand patients are found every year. At the same time scientists have found that in India the problem of lung cancer is seen in those people who have never smoked cigarettes till date but still they are getting lung cancer. This is because due to smoking the air is also getting polluted which is causing lung cancer.
In India, lung cancer most commonly occurs between the ages of 54 and 70. The incidence rate of lung cancer has increased from 6.62 per 100,000 in 1990 to 7.7 per 100,000 in 2019, and will increase more rapidly in urban areas by 2025.
