Reliance Jio has quietly re-introduced its Rs 999 prepaid plan following a recent hike to Rs 1,199.
The most notable change in the new Rs 999 plan is its extended validity, which has now been extended to 98 days from earlier 84 days. This extension gives users 14 days of additional service.
The plan now offers 2GB of data per day, giving a total of 192GB of data for the entire validity period, up from 3GB per day earlier, which was 252GB.
Also, despite this reduction in daily data, the Rs 999 plan also offers unlimited 5G data.
Airtel Recharge Plan
Another rival telecom operator, Airtel, offers a plan of Rs.979. This plan is valid for 84 days. It also offers 2GB data per day, unlimited voice calls and 100 SMS per day.
Airtel's plan also offers access to unlimited 5G data. An added benefit of the Airtel plan is that you can add free Amazon Prime membership for 56 days.
