Delhi-San Francisco Air India Flight: 220 passengers travelling to San Francisco by Air India flight AI183 have been stranded at Russia's Krasnoyarsk Airport for the past 10 hours. This flight departed from Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport for San Francisco on 18 July. But, mid-way, due to a technical fault in the cargo hold area of the plane, the flight was diverted to Russia's Krasnoyarsk Airport.
After the flight landed safely at Krasnoyarsk Airport, all 220 passengers and 19 flight crew members were deboarded from the plane and taken to the transit area of the terminal. Passengers allege that after deboarding the plane, the airlines arranged food and hotel accommodation for its crew, but no hotel accommodation or proper food arrangements have been made for the passengers.
Expressing his anger, Pravesh Mishra, a passenger of Air India flight AI-183, has written in his X account that we are also entitled to an update about AI183 stranded in Russia. Despite several hours having passed, no official information has come from the airline. It seems that you have arranged for the stay and food of only your crew members, but no arrangements have been made for the passengers till now.
Meanwhile, a passenger named Jeera has shared her experience and said that more than ten hours have passed but alternative flights have not been arranged yet. Apart from this, a passenger named Garima has expressed her displeasure and written that the Air India crew is not even at the airport with the passengers of AI 183. The airlines are taking care of their boarding, food and lodging, but not of their own passengers.
