Dehradun: Rashtriya Wadi Regional Party today staged a fierce protest against the irregularities in Doon Hospital. The workers raised slogans against the hospital administration and the government. At the protest site, Deputy Collector Shalini Negi came among the party workers and took the memorandum and assured appropriate action.

National President of Nationalist Regional Party Shivprasad Semwal said that the doctors of the hospital are busy in their private practice instead of duty and due to their negligence, the patients are losing their lives.

State party president Rajendra Pant alleged that Jan Aushadhi Centers have become mere showpieces. Doctors are prescribing outside branded medicines to patients instead of generic ones. Party’s organization secretary Sulochana Ishtawal said that the hospitals are full of brokers, who trick patients into going to private hospitals.

District President Sanjay Doval expressed anger that neither Ayushman card is being used properly nor hospital check-up is being given priority. CT scan, ultrasound, etc. machines are broken every day and are not repaired for a long time.
