Nagpur. Railway Protection Force Nagpur, along with the canine team, seized 15.621 kg of ganja in train 20805 Visakhapatnam-Delhi AP Express. Its price was estimated at Rs 2,34,315. This is said to be probably the biggest action of this year taken together by RPF Nagpur Post, CIB and Dog Squad. Earlier, maximum ganja worth Rs 1.50 lakh was seized.
According to the information, RPF jawans posted at Nagpur post were patrolling Nagpur station at the time of the said train with Prince. AP Express reached platform 1 at 4 pm. When the train arrived, with the help of Prince, investigation was started inside the train also. Meanwhile, after smelling some unclaimed bags under seat 5 of A1 coach of Second AC of air-conditioned class, Prince started acting like they contained marijuana. As suspicion increased, when the passengers were asked, no one disclosed their ownership rights on the said bag.
On searching the bag, some sealed packets were seen in it. Immediately all the bags were taken down to the platform. After detailed search, these packets were confirmed to contain ganja. The concerned department was informed. The concerned department conducted Panchnama of the seized goods and handed over the investigation of the case to Lohmarg Police. This action was completed under the guidance of IPF RL Meena of Nagpur Post and IPF Naveen Kumar of CIB.
