Lucknow : Yogi government of UP has taken big action. The government has banned food products not related to Halal certificate. The government believes that illegal business is being done in the name of Halal certification. According to the order, now any kind of Halal certified product will not be manufactured, stored, distributed or sold in UP. If anyone dares to do so, strict legal action will be taken against him.
Yogi government has dealt a big blow to the corruption going on in the name of Halal products. According to the order issued by the government, now there will be a complete ban on all Halal products in UP. No person will be able to manufacture or stock any Halal certified product within the limits of UP. Not only this, now marketing and sale of Halal products has also been completely banned. Failure to do so may result in the culprit facing both jail and fine.
Recently, the state government was receiving information that Halal certification is being mentioned on the labels of products like dairy products, sugar, bakery products, peppermint oil, salty ready-to-eat beverages and edible oils. Not only this, it has also been reported that Halal certificate has been marked on the packing/labelling of certain medicines, medical devices and cosmetic products. There is no provision for marking Halal certification on the labels of products in the government rules related to drugs, medical devices and cosmetics, nor is there any provision for Halal certification in the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 and related rules. .
Let us tell you that an FIR in this regard has also been registered in Lucknow Commissionerate last Friday. According to the FIR, Halal India Private Limited Chennai, Jamiat Ulema Hind Halal Trust Delhi, Halal Council of India Mumbai, Jamiat Ulema Maharashtra Mumbai etc. provided Halal certificates to customers of a particular religion in the name of religion to increase their sales. Illegal business is being run for financial gain. The complainant has expressed apprehension of a big conspiracy and said that efforts are also being made to reduce the sales of the products of the companies which have not obtained such Halal certificate, which is a criminal act.
