World Cup 2023 Final: England’s Richard Illingworth and Richard Cattleborough will be the on-field umpires in the World Cup final between India and Australia on Sunday.
Illingworth and Kettleborough do umpiring
Richard Cattleborough has proved unlucky for India many times. Richard Cattleborough was also the umpire in the 2019 World Cup semi-finals.
England’s Richard Illingworth and Richard Cattleborough will be the on-field umpires in the World Cup final between India and Australia on Sunday. Kettleborough has also officiated in the 2015 World Cup final, which will be his second time.
Then the second umpire Kumar Dharmasena was with him. The host country would like to repeat the feat of winning the title on its soil in 2011. This will also be Illingworth’s second World Cup final but for the first time he will be present as a match official.
Also did it in the semi-finals this week umpiring
He played as a player in the 1992 World Cup. Other officials for the final will be Joel Wilson of Trinidad and Tobago as the third umpire, Chris Gaffaney of New Zealand as the fourth umpire and match referee Andy Pycroft of Zimbabwe. All of them were part of the umpiring team of the semi-finals.
