For some time now Uttarkashi (Uttarkashi Tunnel ) Information is coming to light that 41 laborers are trapped in the Silkyara Tunnel. However, efforts to get these 41 laborers out of the tunnel are continuing. Talking about the latest case, the Forest Department has found a new way to evacuate the workers. With the help of which the workers trapped in the tunnel will be easily taken out.

Forest department found a unique way

A high level meeting is still going on to get all these workers out of the tunnel. But now the government is preparing to adopt this strategy of the forest department. Actually the department has called a tree cutter in Silkyara Tunnel. It is being said that now the administration is trying to reach out to the workers from the upper parts.

This method will be adopted through machine

It is being told that the department is preparing to adopt the method of vertical drilling through this machine. A separate way is also being explored for this. Earlier, the department had ordered an American auger machine from Delhi to save the workers. With the help of this machine, till now 4 pipes have been laid along with drilling to a depth of 22 meters.

Looking for other options also

Uttarkashi DFO D.P. regarding this matter. Giving information, Baluni said that other ways are also being explored to save all the workers. He said that a hole will be made at the bottom by boring from the spot that has been identified just above the tunnel. Its depth can be 3 to 3.5 meters… The agencies which are being given the rescue work have done such work before also. “Hopefully we will reach those people (workers) as soon as possible.”

Is this method of drilling dangerous?

This decision of the department to do vertical drilling is being described as no less than a danger. It is being said that drilling directly down from the top of the mountain is fraught with danger. Due to which officials are also looking for other options.
