Its shooting has been done in 16 cities of the country. The story of four decades of Sam Maneksha will be shown in the film.

‘Sam Bahadur’ was shot at the locations where Sam Maneksha was posted during his tenure. It was also shot in the fort where Sam Manekshaw once had his office. Among the locations where ‘Sam Bahadur’ was shot, it was shot at several locations including the Military Academy in Dehradun, the DSSC campus in Wellington, Fort William in Kolkata, the DSSC campus in Ooty and the army cantonment there. Apart from this, ‘Sam Bahadur’ was also shot in the campuses of many Defense Service Staff Colleges of the country. Not only this, some war scenes of ‘Sam Bahadur’ were shot in Mumbai’s Film City. For this, a war zone was created in Film City.
