Uttarkashi Tunnel Rescue : Uttarkashi Of Silkyara Tunnel The ongoing rescue operation to rescue the workers trapped in the Silkyara Tunnel Rescue is creating hurdles one after the other. Drilling work in the tunnel has been banned on Saturday.
There was a sound of the mountain cracking during the rescue.
Actually, while laying pipes in the tunnel being built to take out the workers, suddenly a loud sound of a mountain cracking was heard from inside the tunnel. This created panic among the rescue team (Uttarkashi Tunnel Rescue) and other persons. Everyone quickly came out and the drilling work was stopped.
Drilling work underway to reach 40 workers trapped inside the Silkyara tunnel was halted on Saturday as rescue teams penetrated 25 meters of debris, an official said.
Drilling work currently suspended
Anshu Manish Khulko, director of tunneling company NHIDCL, said drilling work is currently suspended to reach the trapped workers. The reason behind this stopping is not the fault of the machine.
Anshu Manish Khulko told that for the last three days the work of laying the pipeline was going on to rescue the workers trapped in the tunnel. Till now only 25 meter pipe laying work has been completed. But there are hurdles in the ongoing rescue (Uttarkashi Tunnel Rescue).
Another machine brought from Indore
Giving information on the rescue operation, company officials said that concrete is being sprayed up to 40 meters of the tunnel. Also, excavation work is going on and a cave has been formed at 10 meters. Pipes are being laid here through which the trapped laborers will be taken out. The official said that another heavy-duty drilling machine has been ordered from Indore, Tezzbuzz, which will reach today (Saturday).
Workers fighting for life even on 7th day
It is noteworthy that all these laborers have been trapped in this tunnel since Diwali. Workers have been fighting for their lives here for 6 days. Even today, on the seventh day, efforts are continuing to rescue them safely.
