Muzaffarnagar. In 2016, Gulshan, son of Vedprakash, accused of molesting a minor girl in a village of Jansath police station and threatening to kill his brother, has been sentenced to two years’ imprisonment and a fine of Rs 5,000. In case of non-payment of fine, he will have to undergo additional punishment of two months.
The hearing of the case was held in the court of Special Court Posco 2 Presiding Officer Ajni Kumar Singh. Special government advocates Vinay Kumar Arora and Deepak Gautam appeared on behalf of the prosecution.
According to the prosecution, on February 2016, the police had registered a case under Section 354d 506 IPC and POCSO Act on the complaint of the victim. The victim had told that one of her brothers harasses her daily and threatens to kill her. The victim had alleged that due to this, her elder sister had already committed suicide due to this problem and if action is not taken, she will also commit suicide.
