There was a drop in box office collections of Tiger 3 on Wednesday when post afternoon shows were impacted heavily due to the ICC Cricket World Cup semi finals between India and New Zealand. As a result of which Rs 21.25 crores had been collected. Tiger 3 stabilised on Thursday. The figures dropped to Rs 18.5 crores and there has been a drop of around 10 %.
As a matter of fact this was a day with no partial holiday.There had been a second semi final between South Africa and Australia. However the film is doing 20 crores on a weekday is not bad at all. The film being a Salman Khan starrer the expectations are bound to be high.
Currently the film stands at 188.25 crores and today it will enter the 200 crore club. Tiger 3 has been majorly dependent on over the counter sales at single screen theatres and multiplexes. The Salman khan film had amassed underwhelming advance booking collections. The film has managed to surprise the audience every single day.
According to reports Tiger 3 has collected Rs 1.75 crore gross on Day 5. As compared to the day 4’s 4.30 crores gross. There are a lot of spot bookings during the evening and night shows all over India and this is sure to add good numbers to the day 5 total revenue.
Tiger 3 has been breaking records due to its smooth run at the box office. The film has left behind the box office collection of box office collection of Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar, Adipurush (Hindi), OMG2 and Rocky aur Rani ki Prem Kahaani. Tiger 3 has also overtaken Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan which collected 110 crores at the box office. The world wide box office collections have also been impressive.
