In this changing season, the risk of infections like cold, cough and phlegm increases. In such a situation, it is very important to prepare the body to avoid these problems. From strengthening the immune system to detoxing the body from time to time, it helps in avoiding all these problems. You do not need to work hard for this, there are some special Ayurvedic remedies which can help you in avoiding this.
Ayurvedic expert Dr. Chaitali Rathore has suggested some special Ayurvedic measures to avoid physical infections in this changing season. So let us know about these measures and also how they work.
Here are some special Ayurvedic tips.
1. Golden Turmeric Milk
Turmeric has antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral properties. Furthermore, it is an excellent source of antioxidants. Both fresh ginger and dried ginger strengthen your immune system by reducing the effects of harmful bacteria, so that infection-causing germs cannot attack you. Similarly, cinnamon and black pepper also have antibacterial properties, which along with other important nutrients present in them, detoxify the body and prepare it to fight infections.
To make this, you need- boil one cup of cow’s milk, raw turmeric, fresh ginger, dry ginger, a small piece of cinnamon and black pepper.
Prepare like this
Let the milk heat, then add raw turmeric, fresh ginger, dry ginger, a pinch of cinnamon and black pepper.
Now let them boil together for about 5 minutes, then filter it and drink it hot.
Take only one cup of milk at a time. Consume it only once a day.
2. Liquorice Tea
Liquorice tea can prove to be one of the best and effective home remedies to get relief from sore throat and cough. It reduces inflammation, provides relief from sore throat and lubricates the phlegm accumulated in the chest. Not only this, the properties present in liquorice boost your immune system, due to which infections do not easily affect your health.
To make this you will need – Mulethi powder or Mulethi stick, one cup of water.
Prepare like this
Take a small cup of water and let it boil.
Add 2-3 grams of liquorice powder or a small stick of liquorice in it, mix well and drink it sip by sip.
Note: Avoid it if you are diabetic.
3. Ayurvedic Immune Shots
Both turmeric and dry ginger are excellent sources of antioxidants. Along with this, it has antibacterial properties, which reduce the effect of harmful bacteria causing infection. The city has soothing properties, which soothe your throat and chest. Along with this, all these together increase the immunity and keep the body fully prepared to fight the infection. Its regular consumption will help you stay healthy during the changing seasons.
To make this you need- turmeric 1/2 teaspoon, dry ginger 1/4 teaspoon, honey 1 teaspoon
Prepare like this
You have to mix dry ginger, turmeric and honey together in a small bowl.
Take this prepared mixture once or twice a day.
4. Steam
Taking steam is the most effective and best way to get relief from the above symptoms. Herbs can be used for steaming.
Mix celery, basil leaves, turmeric powder, mint leaves, cinnamon stick and eucalyptus oil (1-2 drops) in hot water and take steam.
Taking steam provides relief from blocked nose. It also helps in removing phlegm accumulated in the chest.

5. Drink warm water and eat easily digestible food
Drinking warm water will help reduce your obstructive phlegm.
Gargle with warm water to clear accumulated phlegm and chest passages.
To digest food, easily digestible food is required, because at this time our digestive power is at the lowest level, so feed light and fresh food to the stomach.
