The cupboards of Badrinath Dham will be closed today at 3.33 pm for winter. This year’s Chardham Yatra will also conclude with this. On the fourth day, as part of the ongoing Panch Puja as part of the process of closing the gates of the Dham, the chief priest Rawal Ishwar Prasad Namboodiri, disguised as a woman, invited Mother Lakshmi to sit in the sanctum sanctorum along with Lord Badri. On Saturday, the fifth day of Panch Puja, Rawal will dress as a woman and enshrine Goddess Lakshmi in the sanctum sanctorum of the Badrinath temple.
After the pooja the lessons of the Vedas stopped.
On this occasion religious leader Radhakrishna Thapliyal, Vedpati Ravindra Bhatt and priests worshiped Goddess Lakshmi and offered Kadai bhog to her. On November 14, Panch Puja started in Dham. On the first day, the gates of the Dham-based Ganesh temple were closed and on the second day, the gates of the Adi Kedareshwar temple and the Adi Shankaracharya temple were closed. On the third day, after the worship of the Kharag Granth, the recitation of the verses of the Vedas was stopped.
More than ten thousand devotees reached Badrinath Dham
Mata Lakshmi was invited to stay at Badrish Panchayat on Friday morning. Sri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee President Ajendra Ajay said that all preparations have been completed to close the doors of the temple. For this the temple has been lavishly decorated with ten quintals of flowers. By late evening, more than ten thousand devotees had reached Badrinath Dham.
