Manila, November 18 (HS). At least six people were killed in an earthquake that struck the southern Philippines on Friday. Two people are missing. Its intensity was measured at 6.7 on the Richter scale. This information was given in local media reports on Saturday quoting local disaster officials.

The earthquake struck Mindanao island on Friday afternoon at a depth of 60 kilometers (37 miles), according to the German Research Center for Geosciences. At least two people died near the epicenter, three in South Cotabato province and one in Sarangani province. Rescue workers are searching for two other people missing after the landslide. A 78-year-old man died after being crushed by a rock in Davao Occidental province.
