Actually, Kalavati (65) and her husband Vishram (70), residents of Gopalpur village under Madihan police station area, were labourers. Due to increasing age, both of them had stopped working as laborers for some years. Meanwhile Kalavati became ill. Treatment was going on, but the disease was not going away. Ultimately Kalavati died on Friday. As soon as the information was received, relatives and villagers reached home and started preparing for the last rites. Meanwhile, husband Vishram was sitting near the dead body and was keeping an eye on his wife and within a few moments he fell on the dead body and became unconscious. When people tried to lift him, he also died. The people of the village took both the bodies together and cremated them. The deceased couple is survived by a daughter, Sunita, who is married. She has been separated from her husband for 10 years and lives in her maternal home with her 22-year-old son.
