New Delhi Under the one-time settlement scheme for electricity consumers, which started from November 8, so far two lakh people in the state have registered themselves and paid the dues of about Rs 133 crore.
Power Corporation Chairman Dr. Ashish Goyal has instructed the electrical workers to contact every consumer and give them the benefits of this scheme. Under the scheme, special attention has been given to domestic consumers and farmers. Along with giving a maximum rebate of up to 100 percent on the surcharge amount, they have also been given the option of payment in installments.
The Chairman has said that consumers can pay the amount due after the relaxation in the scheme period through UPI, Jan Seva Kendra, Vidyut Sakhi, meter reader, ration shop, any departmental cash counter and online on the departmental website.
It was also made clear that if there is a need for amendment in the bill, then during the plan period, you can contact the executive and SDO office related to your area.
Consumers can register themselves and register themselves by visiting CSC centers in rural areas or by visiting the Bill Correction Request section of the UP Power Corporation website and lodge a bill amendment request.
