Qualcomm has launched the new Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 5G processor for premium mid-range devices. This processor has many upgrades compared to the previous Snapdragon 7 Gen 1. The chip maker has not launched 7 Gen 2 after 7 Gen 1. Instead, the company launched 7s Gen 2 and 7 Plus Gen 2. This new processor works on 4nm processing technology. It will also be known as SM7550-AB part number. The company claims that it will get 20 percent overall power efficiency as compared to the previous model.

This processor from Qualcomm works on Kryo CPU, whose prime core touches 2.63GHz clock speed. Apart from this, it has three cores of 2.4GHz. The company has claimed that its performance is 15 percent better than the previous model and the overall performance has been improved by 20 percent. Apart from this, Andreno 644 GPU has been used in this processor for gaming. Users will get better gaming experience with this processor. HDR gaming will also be supported in it.
64MP camera support
Qualcomm has used Spectra ISP in its new processor, which supports 12-bit ISP. It has the support of 21MP triple camera, 32MP + 21MP dual camera, 64MP single camera. Apart from this it can capture 200MP photos. Talking about video, it has the ability to capture 4K HDR video at 60fps.
This processor comes with Snapdragon X63 5G modem-RF system. It will have support for DSDA 5G and 4G. Apart from this, it also supports Qualcomm FastConnect 6700 and Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. Talking about the display, this processor supports WFHD+ with 168Hz refresh rate. Apart from this, it supports triple frequency LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. This processor can broadcast audio through Auracast. Mid range devices of Honor and Vivo will be launched with this processor in the coming days.
