Hamirpur. On Saturday, following the court’s order, the police took the action of confiscating the property of the absconding accused in serious cases like murder and rebellion in the presence of SDM Sadar.
In the year 2001, a student of Government College, Kuchhha was standing at Shivpujan bus stand waiting for the means. Then it was crushed by a truck. Angered by this incident, the students had blocked the bus stand. When student leader Rajendra Dhamaka joined the jam, students vandalized vehicles and started arson. Then the police had to open fire.
In this incident, a youth Dinesh Sonkar, resident of Sumerpur town, had died. Later, the police held 27 people including Rajendra Dhamaka responsible for this death and registered a case under serious sections. Guddu Singh alias Anuj Singh, resident of Sumerpur town, was also named in this case. As soon as he was named in the case, he absconded from Sumerpur town. Has not returned since then.
Due to his not appearing in the court late on Saturday evening, Guddu Singh’s immovable property house number 895/4 and house number 349 and the vacant plot near the cattle market have been seized. During this, a heavy police force including SDM Sadar Pawan Prakash Pathak, CO Sadar Rajesh Kamal, Naib Tehsildar Subhash Verma, Police Station Head Ram Asare Saroj were present. The value of the seized property is being estimated in crores.
