The board of ChatGate maker OpenAI has fired its co-founder and CEO Sam Altman. The company issued a statement on Friday saying that the company’s board no longer has confidence in Altman’s leadership.
After this, Greg Brockman on Saturday announced his resignation from the post of President and co-founder of OpenAI.
“I am so proud of how we have built it together since we started our apartment 8 years ago,” Brockman wrote in a post on the social media site X. It should have been impossible to achieve so much.” But based on today’s news I have resigned.
Why was Altman fired?
Citing the reason for Sam Altman’s removal, the company said it no longer had confidence in his abilities. The company said it decided after its review meeting that as the company moves forward, it needs new and better leadership.
