Strange villages in the world: This world has many secrets hidden within itself, knowing about which many people are surprised. Today we are going to tell you about a village where not only humans but also animals are blind. We are talking about a village called ‘Tiltepec’ located in the Pacific Ocean region of Mexico. There are about 60 huts in this village where about 300 Red Indians live. There are no skylights or windows. Children born here are absolutely normal like other children but after a few weeks they also become blind.
Here the sound of birds tells that the day is over and people have left for work. In the evening, when the birds stop singing, people go to their huts. These people live amidst dense forests and are far away from civilization and development.
This village is located amidst dense forests and the Zapotec people living here are far from the developed society. When the government came to know about the illness of these people, an attempt was made to treat them but it failed.
The government tried to settle these people in other places but it was not possible for their bodies to survive in other climates and they had to be left to their fate.
What do scientists say?
Apart from the local people, scientists believe that a special species of poisonous fly is found here, due to whose bite the people here gradually start going blind and this fly also causes blindness of the animals. The Mexican government made many efforts for the welfare of the people here but all efforts failed. The tribe living in Tilatpak village was settled in other places but due to unfavorable environment people faced difficulty in settling in the new place. For now, they have been left to their own devices.
