This time in the month of Kartik, Durgashtami is on 20th November, Monday. According to astrology, on this day Goddess Adishakti Maa Durga is worshiped with rituals. Also, a fast is observed for them.

Therefore, devotees worship Maa Durga with devotion on Durgashtami date. Due to the virtue of this fast, happiness and good fortune continuously increase. Ashtami Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Kartik month will start on 20th November at 5.21 am in the morning and will end the next day on 21st September at 3.16 am. Udaya Tithi is considered in Sanatan Dharma. Therefore, monthly Durgashtami will be celebrated on 20th November.
method of worship
On the day of monthly Durgashtami, wake up in the morning, take bath etc. and wear clean clothes.
After this, purify the puja room by sprinkling Ganga water.
After that, spread a clean red colored cloth on a platform and install the idol or photo of Maa Durga.
Now offer water to Mother Goddess. After this, offer red chunari and sixteen adornments to Maa Durga, then after offering red flowers, garlands and Akshat, apply vermillion to Maa Durga.
Offer cloves, betel nut, cardamom and batasha in a betel leaf to Maa Durga.
Offer some sweet as bhog and then offer water.
After this, light a lamp of ghee and incense sticks and recite Maa Durga Chalisa and perform aarti of Maa with proper rituals and finally ask for forgiveness for the mistakes made by you.
