New Delhi. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has raised questions regarding Team India’s jersey. Mamta Banerjee said that everything is being painted in saffron colour. His direct target was towards BJP. BJP retaliated on this statement of CM Mamata and said that Mamata has painted the entire Kolkata in blue and white colors.

Speaking at the inauguration of Jagadhatri Puja in the poppy market of central Kolkata, CM Mamata Banerjee said, ‘Now everything is turning saffron! We are proud of our Indian players and I am confident that they will become world champions. But when they practice, their dress also turns saffron…! Earlier he used to wear blue color. Even metro stations are being painted saffron. Once I had heard that Mayawati had got her statue made, but now it has become normal…now everything is being named after Namo. This cannot be accepted.

Mamata Banerjee condemned this act without taking anyone’s name. He said, ‘I have no objection to erecting their statues but they are trying to paint everything in saffron colour. I once saw that Mayawati had got a statue of herself made. After that, I didn’t hear anything like this. This kind of gimmick can’t always lead to profit. Power comes and goes. Taking a dig at BJP, Mamata Banerjee said that ‘this country belongs to the people, and not to the people of just one party.
