Delhi Government’s Vigilance Minister Atishi Marlena had sent the report of corruption against the Chief Secretary to CM Kejriwal on Friday evening.
CM Kejriwal demanded removal of Chief Secretary from the post
Delhi government minister Atishi Singh said in the report that Naresh Kumar formed a company called MetaMix with his son Karan Chauhan just 20 days after becoming the Chief Secretary. Naresh Kumar is the chairman of the governing council of ILBS Hospital. Taking advantage of his position, he gave the job of making AI software for the hospital to his son Karan Chauhan’s MetaMix company, formed 7 months ago, without even issuing a tender. From this his company earned a profit of crores of rupees. This MOU was a completely beneficial deal for the start up of Naresh Kumar’s son. It was also decided in the MOU that whatever AI product will be developed in the research, the profit from selling it will be divided 50-50% between the Chief Secretary’s son’s company and ILBS Hospital. In view of these allegations, Kejriwal has demanded from LG to immediately remove the Chief Secretary from the post.
Tender issued without fulfilling the criteria
Delhi Government’s Vigilance Minister Atishi Singh said in her report that the company of Secretary Naresh Kumar’s son was formed just 7 months ago. At that time the company had no experience in making AI software. Despite this, the procedures were not followed while selecting the Metamix company, the company was directly selected and the MOU agreement was signed. By using the database and expertise of such a big institute not only in the country but also in Asia, Metamix is expected to earn a profit of crores of rupees every year.
