What work does a TTE have to do?
The job of TTE is to prevent illegal entry into railway coaches and to check platform tickets in trains. Apart from this, they have to deposit the dues like reservation fare/supplementary fee and issue EFT.
Apart from this, TTE takes care during the train journey that the doors of all the coaches are closed and open them when the train stops at the station or as per the need of the passengers. TTE has to wear clean and neat uniform with number, badge, name plate etc. Railway TTE has to check the tickets of the passengers in the coach and also guides the passengers to their seats.
