Thousands of employees have lost their jobs in the IT sector in the last few years. After losing their jobs, many employees either joined another company or started their own business, but a former employee of TCS did something which will blow your mind. When the employee came to know that he would not be rehired, he made a fake call to the company and issued a bomb threat. However, Bengaluru Police has arrested the employee.
Police have identified the accused as B Shruti Shetty. She was working with TCS for a few months and when she came to know that TCS did not want to hire her again, she decided to come back to the company by making a fake call. The accused was arrested by the police from his house in Belagavi on November 15 after giving a false bomb threat to TCS.
Panic in the office due to bomb rumor
According to a report, on November 14, Shetty contacted the transport helpdesk of TCS and said that there was a bomb in the Bengaluru office. This false news spread panic among the employees. After this the police were called. Police began investigation and upon questioning found out that Shetty was a BBM graduate and had resigned from her post at TCS to pursue MBA and was upset that the company had refused to rehire her. .
Drunk woman made fake call
After this she again applied for work in the company, but again she failed to get the job. Police said that the drunk woman made a call to the company’s bus driver to threaten him and through him contacted the office. He had used his mother’s phone to make the fake call. Her parents say that she is going through depression and that is why she has taken such a step. However, the woman is now out on bail.
TCS will give jobs to 40 thousand freshers
It is noteworthy that there have been large scale layoffs in the IT sector from 2021 to this year. Lakhs of employees have lost their jobs. Along with TCS, companies like Infosys and Wipro have also laid off employees. According to a report, TCS plans to provide jobs to 40 thousand freshers in the financial year 2024.
