Gujarat Titans opener Sai Sudarshan will now be seen playing county cricket in England. Surrey County Cricket Club has included Sai Sudarshan in its squad for the remaining matches of this season. Sai Sudarshan had earlier been a part of the Emerging Asia Cup where he had shown excellent batting performance. Now Sudarshan is going to prove his talent in England also.

Surrey coach is happy to include Sai Sudarshan in his team

Regarding the signing of Sudarshan, Surrey head coach Alec Stewart said,

‘Given the extremely busy international and domestic cricket schedule around the world, I am delighted to include Sai Sudarshan in our list of available players. Sai’s name was recommended by those people whom I respect a lot. These also include two legends of Indian cricket who have worked with him.

We hope that Sai Sudarshan performs well in county cricket so that he can be selected in the upcoming World Cup.

Sai Sudarshan’s career

21 year old Sai Sudarshan has played 8 first class matches so far. During this period, 598 runs were scored from Sudarshan’s bat at an excellent average of 42.71. Sudarshan has also scored 2 centuries during this period. In List-A, Sai Sudarshan has played 19 matches in which he has scored 1088 runs with his bat at an average of 68.

Sai Sudarshan has scored 5 centuries in List-A cricket. Talking about Indian Premier League, Sudarshan plays for Gujarat Titans. Playing for Gujarat, Sai Sudarshan played a historic inning of 96 runs in the final of this season.
