Varanasi, While talking to the journalists in a press conference organized at the birthplace of Veerangana in Bhadaini on Saturday, on the eve of the 188th birth anniversary of Maharani Lakshmi Bai, General Secretary of Jagriti Foundation, Ramyash Mishra, social worker CP Jain and Principal of Nandlal Bajoria Shiksha Niketan, Mrs. Pooja Kashyap, Varanasi. MP and country’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav have demanded to run the train in the name of Veerangana.
Ramyash Mishra said that the Railway Ministry is planning to run 3000 new trains. We demand that one of the trains should be named after Veerangana. Ramyash Mishra said that if the government cannot run a new train, then even if the name of the Bundelkhand Express train going from the Queen’s birthplace Varanasi to her martyrdom place Gwalior is Veerangana Express, the train will be named after her.
Ramyash Mishra said that we have given letters several times to the officials including the former Minister of State for Railways, PMO office Varanasi in this regard. On the occasion, a solid brass lamp was dedicated in the memory of Queen Laxmibai by the students of Nandlal Bajoria Shiksha Niketan.
