The One Day World Cup 2023 (CWC 2023) being played in India is in its last stages and the final match of the tournament will be played on 19 November. Before this, ICC has selected some players who have performed brilliantly so far as contenders for the ‘Player of the Tournament Award’. The tournament has seen tremendous excitement so far and out of the 10 participating teams, India and Australia have made it to the finals. Before the final match, ICC shortlisted a total of 9 players for its special award, which included some of the best batsmen and some brilliant bowlers.
Selection of maximum 4 players from Indian team
These 9 players have been selected from the 4 teams playing the semi-finals. India, South Africa, New Zealand and Australia made it to the semi-finals, with New Zealand losing in the first semi-final and South Africa losing in the second semi-final.
ICC has selected maximum 4 players from the Indian team which include the names of Virat Kohli, Mohammed Shami, captain Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah. Adam Zampa and Glenn Maxwell have been selected for Australia, Rachin Ravindra and Daryl Mitchell for New Zealand while Quinton de Kock has been selected for South Africa.
