The Saudi Arabian government has been angered by pro-Palestinian demonstrations in its holiest religious sites Mecca and Medina and has begun detaining them.
British actor and TV presenter Islah Abdur Rahman was detained for wearing a Palestinian kaffiya and a turban in the colors of the Palestinian national flag during a pilgrimage to Mecca, according to Middle East media reports.
In this media report, Abdur Rahman said, “Four soldiers stopped me because I was wearing a white kafiya and a garland in the color of the Palestinian flag on my arm. Because of this the soldiers took me to another place for questioning.” ,
According to the actor, the soldiers were focused on the kaffiya and eventually they released me but I was warned not to wear the kaffiya. When I was released, an employee working there also warned me that it was not good. ..It is not right to convert Israel into Palestine here. Don’t wear this kafia. You are not allowed.
The actor said that the experience during the journey scared him. My heart broke. I sympathize with the sufferings of the Palestinian people.
Abdur Rehman has shared his experience on social media and now many citizens of Saudi Arabia are targeting the actor.
An Algerian citizen was recently arrested in Saudi Arabia and detained for 6 hours for praying for the Palestinian people. The video of him praying was deleted from his phone.
Let us tell you that Saudi Arabia is moving forward in the conflict between Gaza and Hamas. Because even before the terrorist attack by Hamas, both the countries had started efforts to normalize relations between Israel and Saudi Arabia.
