Mumbai
There is panic in the politics of Maharashtra. Mumbai Police has registered an FIR against Uddhav Thackeray’s son and former cabinet minister Aditya Thackeray. Mumbai Police said Aditya Thackeray along with his supporters illegally inaugurated the Delisle Road Bridge in Lower Parel. A complaint has been lodged by the Road Department of Mumbai Municipal Corporation against Shiv Sena Uddhav Thackeray faction leader Aditya Thackeray and other officials at NM Joshi Police Station. On the complaint of the department, Mumbai Police has registered a case against Aditya Thackeray under sections 143,149,326 and 447 of the IPC. According to Mumbai Police, Shiv Sena (UBT) leaders Aditya Thackeray, along with Sunil Shinde, Sachin Ahir, former mayor Kishori Pednekar, former mayor Snehal Ambekar and 15-20 workers went to the spot and inaugurated the bridge. After the FIR against Aditya Thackeray, politics has heated up and rhetoric has started.
Police said that the Delisle Road bridge was not completely ready for traffic and there was no permission from the Mumbai Municipal Corporation to open the bridge. The BMC official complained to the police, on the basis of which the police registered a case against Aditya Thackeray and other party leaders.
What did Aditya Thackeray post?
Whereas the UBT Shiv Sena leader cited the public suffering behind opening the bridge without the permission of BMC. Aditya Thackeray wrote on Twitter, ‘While we were waiting on BMC to open the entire bridge for public use, it has been almost 10 days that the other side is ready and a VIP is there to inaugurate it. Is waiting for. We inaugurated it last night and today, BMC has closed it again under pressure from the Khokey government, waiting for the government inauguration, only to harass the citizens of Mumbai. Why can’t it be opened to the people instead of waiting for the arrogance and convenience of the guardian minister? Open it!’
The bridge was closed in 2018
Delisle Road Bridge is an important link between Lower Parel, Worli, Prabhadevi and Curry roads in the west and Byculla and other areas in the east. It was closed on July 24, 2018 after the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay was declared unsafe. Earlier, Aditya Thackeray had also questioned the Maharashtra government’s delay in inaugurating the Navi Mumbai Metro Rail services. The metro was inaugurated on November 17 without any VIP.
Questions were also raised regarding Navi Mumbai Metro
Aditya Thackeray had said about Navi Mumbai Metro, ‘My only demand was that if the government ministers do not have time to inaugurate the metro beyond this Constitution, then start the metro for the people without inauguration. In the present Shinde-BJP regime, party comes first and people come first. He has time to campaign for his party, but not to inaugurate Navi Mumbai Metro. Aditya Thackeray said in his post on November 16 that the Delisle Road Bridge is in the same way.
