After the closure of the doors, from Badrinath on Sunday morning, Shri Uddhav Ji, Shri Kuber Ji’s Dev Doli Pandukeshwar and Adiguru Shankaracharya Ji’s Gaddi Shri Narasimha Temple will leave for Joshimath.
On the auspicious occasion of closing of the doors, BKTC President Ajay said that under the inspiration of the country’s famous Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the direction of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, this year the Badrinath-Kedarnath Yatra has been historic. This time a maximum of 38 lakh pilgrims visited Badri-Kedar. Out of which, till today Kapat Bandh, more than eighteen lakh forty thousand pilgrims have reached Badrinath Dham. He has congratulated all the individuals and institutions who contributed to the Yatra.
Chief Executive Officer Yogendra Singh said that from the date of opening of doors till November 17, 18 lakh 36 thousand 519 pilgrims have reached Badrinath Dham. Which is the highest in all the previous travel years.
It is noteworthy that the process of closing the doors (Badrinath Dham) had started from 14th November. On this day the doors of Shri Ganesh ji were closed, on 15th November the doors of Adi Kedareshwar and Adi Guru Shankaracharya temples were closed. The next day, on 16th November, Khadagpustak puja and on 17th November, the worship of Mahalakshmi ji and Kadhai Bhog was completed. Today, like every day, after Mahabhishek in the morning, Balbhog was held and Rajbhog was held at 11 o’clock in the day. After that the temple was not closed, evening puja started at quarter to 1 pm. At quarter to two, Rawal ji took the form of a woman and placed Lakshmi ji in the sanctum sanctorum of Badrinath temple. Before this, Shri Uddhav ji and Shri Kuber ji were seated in the temple courtyard. Evening bhog and Shayan Aarti were completed at 2.15 pm. While completing the ritual of closing the doors by Rawal from 2.30 to 3.30, a hand-woven wool blanket was spread by Mana Mahila Mandal, considering Lord Badrivishal.
At 3:33 pm, the doors of the sanctum sanctorum of Shri Badrinath temple and the main lion gate were closed by Rawal Ishwar Prasad Namboodiri for the winter season. With this, Kuber ji went to Bamani village for night stay.
During this time, the religious authority of the Dham, Acharya Radhakrishna Thapliyal and Veda reader Ravindra Bhatt performed the puja along with Rawal.
It is noteworthy that after the closing of the doors of Shri Badrinath Dham today, after the stay in Badrinath, Shri Uddhav Ji Yoga Badri Temple Pandukeshwar and Shri Kuber Ji’s Devdoli will depart for Kuber Temple Pandukeshwar on Sunday morning.
Media in-charge of Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee, Dr. Harish Gaur said that along with Badrinath Dham Rawal, the throne of Adi Guru Shankaracharya ji left for Shri Narasimha Temple Joshimath. On Sunday, Adiguru Shankaracharya ji’s throne and Rawal Yoga will stay in Badri Pandukeshwar. Shri Uddhav ji and Kuber ji will stay in Pandukeshwar during winter season, while on 20th November, the throne of Adi Guru Shankaracharya ji will reach Shri Narasimha temple located in Joshimath along with Rawal ji. Adi Guru Shankaracharya Gaddi Sthal Shri Nrisingh Temple will be established in Joshimath, with this this year Shri Badrinath Dham Yatra will end and winter pujas will start in Yoga Badri Pandukeshwar and Shri Nrisingh Badri Joshimath.
