Lucknow. Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak said that on hearing the name of cancer, the self-confidence of the patient and his family shakes. Technology and new medicines have brought revolutionary changes in treatment. With timely and effective treatment, patients can lead a normal life again. Doctors are also making efforts towards providing better treatment to the patients. With these efforts, saving the patient’s life has become easier.
Brascon 2023 was organized on Saturday at Sanjay Gandhi PGI Auditorium. Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak said that cancer is a serious disease. As soon as this is known, the attendants are forced to live a miserable life with the patient. Think about illness all the time. Afraid of even getting treatment. It has now become easier to defeat cancer. Tata in the country, Sanjay Gandhi PGI and Kalyan Singh Cancer Institute in the state are doing better work in the interest of patients. Tata Institute is operating in Varanasi, where it is helping in providing modern treatment to all types of cancer patients.
He said that patients do not need to lose self-confidence to defeat the disease. Mothers and sisters suffering from breast cancer can defeat cancer with courage and self-confidence. The Deputy CM said that the spread of cancer has posed new challenges to the doctors. Accept it. Work hard to find other treatment options. Run a screening program. So that the disease can be detected in the beginning. Doctors attend workshops on cancer. Do qualitative research. The conclusions emerging from these should be conveyed to the government.
The Deputy CM said that suggestions from doctors can help in changing policies. It will also help in gathering resources. The government will not step back in providing high quality treatment facilities in medical institutions. Dr. Pankaj Chaturvedi, Deputy Director of Mumbai-based Tata Memorial Institute, said that cancer is spreading like an epidemic. Lifestyle and diet can also be a reason for this. Tata is continuously working towards providing modern treatment to patients. It is also helping in upgrading other institutions, so that patients do not have to run from one institution to another for treatment. The pressure of patients should not come on one institution. With this, patients will be able to get better treatment on time.
Director Dr. R.K. Dhiman said that PGI and Cancer Institute are improving rapidly. Treatment for all types of cancer is available in both the institutions. Government schemes are also implemented. Free treatment is being provided to poor patients.
